At a Glance

At a glance:

Key ingredients include:

  • Organic sea buckthorn oil
This helps improve skin’s water-holding capacity to resist dehydration that causes crepey skin and can lead to chapping and irritation.

  • Organic borage oil
This is one of the best sources of the essential fatty acid gamma-linoleic acid (GLA) proven to have strong anti-inflammatory benefits. (Essential fatty acids are oils that your skin can’t make but needs and must be supplied by you for optimal skin health!)

GLA is also critically important to your skin’s health for maintenance of proper skin barrier function and a healthy appearance. Your skin can’t make its own gamma-linoleic acid and applying borage oil has been shown in scientific studies to benefit skin lipid and immune balance.

GLA is also important in modulating your skin’s inflammatory response both in dermal (lower) and epidermal (top) living layers. Skin readily absorbs GLA from topical application of GLA rich oils, and borage oil is the best botanical source in my opinion. Borage oil is also considered by some to improve eczema, fight skin inflammation and improve skin texture and appearance. The borage oil in my Omega Enriched Booster Oil is organic and of the highest quality – because it’s a detail that matters!

  • Cypress essential oil
This is antiseptic and anti-oxidant containing flavonoids, phenolic compounds. It also imparts a subtle woodland scent to this enriched facial booster oil.

  • Other, key ingredients
These include the same carefully sourced organic blend of kukui nut oil, argan oil, pomegranate seed oil, rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil, sunflower seed oil, castor seed oil found in my Booster Oil for Sensitive Skin.

The Omega Enriched Booster Oil (and beard oil) is fast absorbing, never slick and won’t clog pores for most skin types.
