A refreshing head-to-toe skin cleanser for the entire family. At last, an economical shower gel that is entirely natural; remove dirt and oil from everyone’s skin without any chemicals.
My shower gel is made from entirely organic ingredients and the 300 year-old art of soap making. The softly peppermint scented suds will foam your skin clean – they are hard on dirt and oil but gentle on your skin because this unique formulation is naturally rich in hydrating glycerin.
Suds up with this invigoratingly scented gel from head to toe using your hands or a washcloth. Add exfoliation when you lather up using an exfoliating shower cloth or sponge. The gentle suds also make the perfect lather for shaving in my opinion! It’s an all-in-on product that’s easy on the environment, non-toxic for your family and economical for the family budget too.
As a scientist, a dermatologist and a consumer who prefers natural products when possible, I like to minimize chemical exposure. When it comes to washing and moisturizing the large surface area of our skin – our body’s biggest organ - I prefer bathing and hydrating with as few chemicals as possible. Read the ingredient lists on the body care products in your bathroom. Do you see almost entire lists of mind-numbing chemical names that require a PhD in chemistry to decipher? Are they really ok? Some yes and others not so much.
What are the big cosmetic chemicals that I personally want to avoid when possible? We know that formaldehyde releasing preservatives (a common preservative in many baby washes, shampoos and foaming body washes) are notorious allergens and also release variable amounts formaldehyde, a known carcinogen, into products as the mechanism of product preservation. It is hard to find a good good shampoo without them but we don’t need them in a body wash. We also know that phthalates are a component of the term ‘fragrance’ in many products. These are known in interfere with the complex function of some important aspect of human hormones. I try to avoid any product with artificial fragrance that might include pthlates. It is not easy though. My natural shower gel has no pthlates or formaldehyde releasing preservatives.
Yes there are other dubious ingredients with well-founded health concerns in the scientific literature. There are also other ingredients with less than well founded concern. My goal is to sort through it and minimize exposure as much as possible in a smart fashion. Products need to be stable, especially when they contain pharmaceutical grade actives to correct skin problems. Cleansing and moisturizing, however, can be done using all natural products. That’s smart skin care blending science and nature – in my opinion!
Please note, that like all natural soap products, my shower gel performs best in soft water. This entirely chemical free shower gel is ideal for total body cleansing the large surface area and for your entire family. I’ve added a little natural peppermint oil blend to enhance your bathing pleasure. Enjoy!
