Sun Protection and UV-Exposure Tips from the Dermatologist
I love being outdoors during the worst UV-exposure times between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Frankly, the longer I’m out, the happier I am. I’ve also spent 30+ years treating the consequences of UV-overexposure on the skin of Californians.
I’m highly motivated to perfect sun protection – for myself, my family and my patients.
Through trial-and-error, keeping up on advances in sun protection and collecting feedback from my patients and blog readers, I’ve learned what works, what’s practical, what options fit different activities and skin types, and what’s hype and needs to be ignored.
In my latest video, I show you exactly how I go for a long, mid-day UV-intense walk while protecting ever single skin cell on my body. My poodle and I soak up the outdoors, and my skin stays safe.
Am I glamorous with all my gear and sunscreen?
‘Em, well, I’ll leave that to you to decide.
Happy Sunny Weather! Let’s go outside and have fun while being smart about caring well for our skin.
