Is It Good To Unplug From The Internet Occasionally?
I'm just back from 2 fantastic weeks visiting a close and dear friend in Australia. One of the many surprises was that I had no internet connectivity! This turned out to be a good thing because the R&R I came home with felt like I had a mini-life in an alternate universe! Wow, it's quite amazing actually. I've always found ways to get on the internet when I travel, but on this trip the timing really did not work...... and it was just the thing I needed. It reset me, at least for a while. I realized how many things I do all at once here at home, and just what that does to my psyche. I love the web, social media, and writing, and I'm glad to be "plugged in" again to a world that I find so interesting. I am, however, going to explore doing fewer things all at once to simplify. I thought it would be fun to share a few pictures of wonderful and exotic Australia. It's a wondrous country! It's quite amazing to travel from stormy fall in Coastal Northern California (power failures, hurricane forced winds etc.) to a beautiful spring on the other side of globe.
Cheers mates, and happy holidays to everyone!
