These problems also get worse for women after menopause. In fact, post-menopausal callusing and thickening of the feet is so common that the condition has a medical name, keratoderma climactericum. (Loosely translated, this term means thick feet skin after the "climax" of a woman’s life, which is apparently menopause - thanks "forefathers" of medicine!) I say, to heck with keratoderma climactericum and to heck with rough, thick, yellow skin on the bottoms of the feet too. My Foot Care Kit can give everyone soft, attractive, and comfortable feet skin at any age.
If you have foot skin problems, you're not alone. During the course of my
dermatology skin exams I see a lot of rough, thick, cracking skin on the feet
because it's so common. I developed my Foot Care Kit as a "turnkey" solution
for my patients, and it's worked for them for many years.
The magic of my Foot Care Kit comes from the extremely powerful AHA glycolic
acid in the foot cream combined with the right foot files for physical exfoliation.
It takes really strong professional-strength glycolic acid to eat through massively
thickened foot skin and Glytone Heel and Elbow
is the best AHA product for the job.
I like it better than urea, salicylic acid, or lactic acid foot care products.
Plus, weak foot cream products are why most foot remedies don't work.
Once the dead skin on your feet is softened by the Glytone Heel and Elbow, you need
just the right tools to remove it. With my kit, you get the
Feet First Spa Buffing Pad
to quickly buff away the softened skin. My Foot Kit also includes a finishing
foot file
to smooth your feet so that they're soft again. These are salon-quality professional
products that work really well and are reasonably priced.
Prepare to have baby soft feet that look great in sandals. No more embarrassing
"hoofs" that snag fabric, crack, and are embarrassing.
A word of caution though, this is a strong kit that will combat the thickest foot
skin. At first, the kit needs to be used more frequently to reverse the hefty build-up
of dead skin. Once controlled, however, soft, healthy, and attractive foot skin is
usually easy to maintain with less frequent treatment.
Directions for use:
Wash your feet well with soap and water, then soak your feet for 5 or 10 minutes in
warm water or take a bath or shower.
Apply the Glytone Heel and Elbow Cream generously to the thickened areas of your
foot skin and cover with a pair of socks for 8 hours or more. (Wash it off your hands
and don't apply it to thinner skin areas of your feet such as your arch or up the
sides of your foot.)
The next day, soak your feet again, or take a bath or shower, and use the Feet
First Buffing Pad to remove as much softened dead skin as you comfortably can. Be
careful not to buff into tender skin. Finish by using the Professional Foot File.
File first with the courser side then use the finer side of the foot file.
Repeat daily until your skin is soft. Then use as needed to maintain healthy,
smooth foot skin.
A few words of caution:
Don't put Glytone Heel and Elbow on open cracks. Seal these first with Bag Balm and
keep the Glytone away from the cracks. Slowly they will heal and, as your feet improve,
you will be able to treat these areas too.
Take care not to remove all the dead skin that protects your feet.
Diabetics and people with neuropathy or peripheral vascular disease need
to consult their physician before starting any new foot treatments such as this.
Remember, sometimes athlete's foot causes thick foot skin too. If your feet have
a sour odor, itch, or have blisters, if you have toe nail fungus, or if you just
think that you might have athlete's foot, then you may need to treat athlete's foot
with over-the-counter medicated anti-fungal creams before starting this kit.
