Foaming Zinc Cleanser is a unique part of my Back Acne Kit for the treatment for stubborn back acne. It contains 2% zinc pyrithione, which is my "secret ingredient" that is missing in other acne treatment products. My Foaming Zinc Cleanser is also a great foaming medicated dandruff shampoo that can treat stubborn scalp dandruff.

If you have back acne and chest acne you know that they are frustrating and hard to treat. The two main reasons are:

1. Back and chest skin is thick and facial acne products don't penetrate it well.

2. The causes of back acne and chest acne are often different than those for the common type of facial acne. Most acne medicines don't treat these issues.

In my dermatology practice, the major cause of most back and chest acne is a yeast germ called pityrosporum. This germ also plays a role in dandruff and its related skin problems.

The non-prescription medicine zinc pyrithione helps fight pityrosporum. Zinc pyrithione isn't typically included in acne products, but Dr. Bailey Skin Care Foaming Zinc Cleanser contains zinc pyrithione at the highest level allowed. This makes it the best and most complete acne skin care product for treating back, , and body acne.

My Foaming Zinc Cleanser lifts oil and dirt from your skin and reaches deep into your pores, where the pityrosporum yeast is growing. I've treated thousands of patients with back and chest acne over the past 25+ years of my dermatology practice. My Foaming Zinc Cleanser is a professional skin care product that targets what I have seen over my years of medical practice to be a primary cause of back acne. Directions for Use: I recommend using Foaming Zinc Cleanser every day or every other day. Massage the cleanser onto your skin creating a foam and leave the foam on your skin or scalp for 5 minutes, then rinse well. Foaming Zinc Cleanser can be applied to your skin with the Salux Cloth, a Buf Puf Body Sponge with Handle, or The Clarisonic Pro with Extension Handle or it can be massaged into the scalp with the Scalp Scrubber.

Tips for Success with Dr. Bailey Foaming Zinc Cleanser
My Foaming Zinc Cleanser works beautifully for back acne and chest acne when alternated with Dr. Bailey SKIN Medicated Cleanser #1 in my Back Acne Kit. It also works well when used with the Clarisonic Pro Brush with the Extension Handle attached to reach down the back. The Clarisonic Pro is highly effective at enhancing the penetration of ingredients into the pores, allowing the Foaming Zinc Cleanser and its pyrithione zinc to reach even deeper down to where the yeast germ lives.

When used as a dandruff shampoo, Foaming Zinc Cleanser can lift even more scalp scale when combined with the Scalp Scrubber.

Foaming Zinc Cleanser may be a little drying for some people with sensitive facial skin. My Calming Zinc Soap is designed for dryer facial skin affected by pityrosporum yeast related skin problems.
