Tips For Success with the Clarisonic Plus Sonic Skin Cleansing System
The Clarisonic is a completely different way of skin cleansing. In my practice, I recommend that my patients start by using the system just once a day and on the lower setting. I also recommend that they use a milder skin cleanser (such as Toleriane Cleanser for people with sensitive skin or Glytone Mild Gel Wash Cleanser for tougher acne prone/oily skin) to start with since the Clarisonic is going to increase how deeply the cleanser gets down into the pores.

After using the Clarisonic for a week or so patients can step up to twice a day use and/or increase to their stronger skin cleanser as tolerated by their skin. This is particularly important for people using medicated acne treatment products or exfoliating cleansers like glycolic acid products.

Also, the squeaky clean, exfoliated skin that comes after washing with the Clarisonic Plus may be more sensitive to professional products like glycolic acid creams. If this happens, I recommend applying those products at night and washing with the Clarisonic in the morning before applying milder products.
